Town boss Mick McCarthy was delighted with what he felt was a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Preston, admitting that the home team were the better side before the break. Brett Pitman and Ryan Fraser netted the goals for the Blues with Daniel Johnson scoring for the Lilywhites.
